Projects
ccLearn recently released a report to The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation:

What status for “open”?
An examination of
the licensing policies
of open educational
organizations and
projects
ccLearn is also engaged in key projects and collaborative activities with several organizations in the open education space. Our key projects:
- DiscoverEd. A collaborative project with the The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
- ODEPO Project. A database for finding and networking projects and organizations engaged in (open) education.
- Open Ed Community Site. A community site for persons interested or already involved in open education to easily access resources and be “in the know” about open education trends and events.
- Creative Commons Licensing Portal for Educators. A licensing portal that will address CC licensing specifically in the context of education.
We are also committed to establishing open education as a global movement. In the future, we will have a space on our website specifically dedicated to our international work. Currently, we are involved in these international projects and events:
- Cape Town Open Education Declaration.
- Latam Commons 2008. A meeting on the state of open education in Latin America, co-hosted by Derechos Digitales.
In addition, we are in development on several other projects and collaborative activities, including:
- Planning for workshops on educational exceptions and limitations (i.e., fair-use).
- Planning for workshops on juvenile-created IP in educational contexts.
- Planning for more regional CCi education affiliates and conferences.
